Vault Security / Inventory Control
We Treat Your Tapes with the Highest Regard
Modern VideoFilm has been responsible for storing and tracking its clients' product for 28 years. We take this job very seriously and have designed a system that allows us to know exactly where every tape in the facility is at any time. No tape moves from one location to the next without passing a bar code reader. The bar code reader logs the move into a computer system that is specially-designed to track tape movement within the facility. All vault spaces are security pass card controlled and cannot be entered without specific electronic authorization. Modern VideoFilm employees are aware that they handle proprietary and sensitive materials. Although proud of this responsibility, they are also aware that theft or indiscretion will cost them their jobs. All vaults and media handling areas are under constant video surveillance. Security data files are archived for three months.
Technical Features:
- Three high-security, limited-accessed film and tape vaults.
- A separate film vault with a high-security film storage vault. Limited access through personal security identification cards.
- A card-key access system allows up-to-the-second status reports and archives all entries and exits.
- Proprietary element inventory system - probably the most comprehensive system in existence today. It is a system that has been developed by our own in-house programmers since we began storing priceless client tapes in the early eighties. The system is constantly being improved to provide the most informative, up-to-the-minute reports as possible. All film and videotape elements are individually bar-coded once they are received by the vault and cross-tracked through their life in and out of the facility by both the bar-code and an inventory control number. All information regarding each element is entered into our computer data base and forever exists in the Modern VideoFilm Inventory System.
